Round 1 Clean Sweep for Sean Evans in the 5 Litre Class

Race 4 was the final race for Round 1 of the Tenkate Plant Hire TransAm Series for 2019.

John English in the no.11 Firebird couldn't keep the charging Ian Palmer in the no.20 Firebird behind him Ian charging home to take the win in race 4 finishing strong after a tough start to the weekend.

John managed to take out round 1 and takes the lead in the outright championship for 2019. Russell Wright driving the no.69 Mustang for the injured Anthony Tenkate had a solid weekend finishing 2nd for the round.

Sean Evans in the no.4 Mustang realised his goal for the weekend finishing strong with another win in the 5 Litre Class to complete his clean sweep for the weekend. Tricia Chant had a solid weekend in the no.35 Mustang keeping touch with Sean all weekend but unable to get past for a race win.

Sean takes the early lead in the 5 Litre championship ahead of Tricia Chant and Gareth Jones.

Round 2 is scheduled for 1st and 2nd of June at Lakeside Park. Hopefully the issues with racing at Lakeside will be resolved by then.
