Heartbreak for Evans in Race 1

After a stellar performance in qualifying Sean Evans no.4 Mustang gave up on him on the first lap of race 1 with what would later be discovered as a blown gearbox a very disappointing end to what was no doubt going to be a great battle with Ron Prefontaine's no.21 Mustang. 

A smaller than normal field this weekend due to several members being away for other commitments, some competing in the TA2 round at the bend. The absence of some of Outright cars a great opportunity for the 5 Litre competitors to gain some extra championship points.
